Learning Styles

Children, who are experiencing the wonders and challenges for the first time, have a lot to learn. But what is the best way to help them get (and retain) the information that they’ll need in their lives. Well, according to educational studies, there are approximately seven learning styles that most people use to understand their world:
  • Visual (spatial)
  • Aural (auditory/musical)
  • Verbal (linguistic)
  • Physical (kinesthetic)
  • Logical (mathematical)
  • Social (interpersonal)
  • Solitary (intrapersonal)
Each person has a favorite type of learning. We’re all capable of mixing and matching our styles to match our environment and situations that we find ourselves in as well.  But wouldn’t it be great if we could find a way to tackle difficult subjects in a fun and efficient way incorporating our natural learning styles?  Yeah, I think so too and that’s why cartoons will save the world! (Okay, maybe not literally, but definitely in this case … read on!)

How Cartooning Helps Your Child Learn

Engaging in art in any form -- whether it is painting, drawing, sculpting, or playing a musical instrument -- helps to engage a young mind on many levels. Cartooning, however, pulls together a number of subjects including:
  • Reading
  • Writing (Spelling and grammar!)
  • Math (Measuring and Geometry)
  • Science and Anatomy
  • Storytelling without Sound
  • History and Geography
  • Research Skills
  •  And so much more …

Our Course

Cartooning levels the playing field for children who might be stumped when it comes to academics.  Each of our lessons will incorporate these subjects while encouraging the students to use their imagination and budding drawing skills to create their special brand of cartoon art. You’ll get to watch as your child’s cartooning abilities spill over and transform hard subjects into manageable ones.
