We’re putting the finishing touches on something truly special—The Cowtoonist Cartoon Academy is almost ready to open its barn doors! If you’ve been looking for a place where art meets academics, faith fuels creativity, and giggles are basically part of the curriculum… you’re in the right spot. At the heart of everything we’re building is this: art that’s fun to create, art that has purpose, and art that points to something greater. We believe every squiggle, doodle, and joyful drawing your kids create can be used to unlock learning, grow their God-given gifts, and maybe even change how they see the world.
We’re talking recorded videos that you kids can draw along with and monthly live lessons where we will draw and laugh together. We’ve also got handouts, printable projects, and bonus activities that blend creativity with concepts from history, science, writing, and Bible truths. It’s all part of our mission to show that art isn’t “just art”—it’s a tool for connection, comprehension, and Christ-centered learning.

“How much is this going to cost?”
We’re working hard to keep it affordable for homeschool families. There’ll be different membership options—including some one-time class bundles and monthly access. We want families to feel confident that they’re getting a heaping scoop of value with every lesson.
“Will my child actually learn anything academic?”
Oh, absolutely. We don’t just teach how to draw cartoon hands (though we definitely do that too). We tie in vocabulary, storytelling, geography, even math—yes, math!—in ways that make it stick. (Because somehow, learning fractions while designing a cartoon pizza just makes sense.)
“Is there a Christian connection, or is this just art for art’s sake?”
This is where it gets extra special. Everything we do at the Academy is rooted in faith. We don’t hit kids over the head with it—but we do sprinkle truth and encouragement throughout every lesson, from short devotionals to Scripture-inspired drawing challenges. We want to help kids see that their talents come from God—and they can be used to glorify Him with joy.
“Do you offer anything to celebrate what they’ve accomplished?”
Oh yes! We have Certificates of Achievement (because what kid doesn’t love a frame-worthy moment?). And yes, we make them FUN—think cartoon cows in graduation caps.
“Who’s teaching all this?”
That would be me—Debi Hamuka-Falkenham, a professional cartoonist, creative writer, Jesus-loving Mema, and a homeschooler who’s been doing this long enough to have dodged multiple flying crayons. I’ve taught thousands of kids how to draw cartoons over the past 25+ years, and now I’m bringing all that joyful experience to families like yours—online and on purpose.
